can insurance reject my claim for my torn ACL injury?

They sent me a letter and are asking for more details. it says in their policy that they have limited coverage for intramural sport injuries however I was only playing a pick up game (I saw some kids playing in park and I joined them and then I torn my ACL). could this be consider as intramural sport injury? I am real scared that they will reject my case for no reason cause I just don’t trust insurance companies. any advice about what to write or not?

I would think it would be covered if it was considered a personal – recreational game & not an organized sport. Usually, if you are part of organized sports, the team either provides insurance or you have to purchase a liability/accident policy in order to participate. Intramural means being part of an organized sports team.
