What’s the cheapest or the average cost of car insurance?

Im turning 16 this coming november and im gonna use my sister’s car; but its a 2 door car, which is considered a sports car and Im under 18. And everyone is telling me that the insurance is gonna be really expensive. Does anyone know what the cheaptest cost or car insurance is gonna be or atleast the averge cost.

And do you pay monthly?

I only have to pay 2000 for the car to come from texas to california but thats not what my mom is worried about. its the car insurance; so please help me. Thanks.

Easiest way to find out is just get some quotes. I suggest going to Progressive.com and compare them. I doubt your insurance will be too expensive unless you get full coverage. Getting the state requirements and liability insurance will be your best bet.

Also make sure you dont get any traffic violations or wrecks and if you do make sure you get a lawyer because those things are what really jacks up your insurance.

You may also be eligible for certain discounts if you are a student and have taken a driving education class.

Last but not least when you do pick an insurance company be sure you stay with them. Because the longer you work with a certain company the more they will work with you on lower rates in the future.
